It all started in 1972 when Amin Sunderji arrived in Canada. His first introduction to the furniture industry was in Kamloops BC at where he had discovered a true passion. With focused vision of his own, Amin Sunderji then opened Yaletown Interior, Vancouver BC, in 1988. With the help of his family, they quickly grew into a successful business. The year 2000 proved an even greater success with the decision to re-brand Yaletown Interior and expand its business opening 6 new stores. With continued support from the family, Yaletown Interiors was top of class and was clearly a success.

In 2010 the son of Amin Sunderji, Alykhan Sunderji moved to Victoria, BC. Alykhan Sunderji had a vision to carry on the family business by creating a store in Victoria BC with the same values, filling the need for contemporary, modern, clean lined furniture. Studio Y design is the perfect place to shop for home and condominium furnishing in Victoria.
