Five Star Paving was started in 1981 by Brian "Red" McNulty, Wayne McNulty, and Craig McNulty. The Company's humble beginnings consisted of a pickup truck, a few tools and rental dump trucks used to order the mix. The first jobs were picked up through door knocking houses and commercial developments throughout Victoria .

As the McNulty's and Five Star began to earn a reputation for quality, hard work and competitive pricing, the company started to expand and they reinvested the newly found capital in more equipment and office space. The first office was located in Esquimalt , and then the headquarters was moved out to the Keating Cross Rd Area.

10 Years ago Five Star started a Brick Division and 2 Years ago a Concrete Division. Both services compliment the paving business and offer their customers the complete package deal with a guarantee from a reputable company.

Brian McNulty has since passed on, but Craig and Wayne McNulty are still active in the business. They've added a knowledgeable, customer orientated, dedicated team of people to Five Star Paving that continue to deliver quality work to greater Victoria.
