The 70s – John Carey designs the Carey Screwball bracelet in his shop in Cape Cod for a customer seeking a sturdy bracelet that was comfortable and wouldn’t fall off.

The 90s – The bracelet catapults in popularity launching the shop, Eden Hand Arts, into huge success.  Line ups form out the door as eager customers wait to get their custom fitted bracelets.

1998 – Amy Jo Johnson wears the bracelet on the T.V. show Felicity. The line ups grow even longer.

1999 – John Carey recruits family members, including his grandson Alexander Carey, to help with the production of jewellery as demand soars.  Alexander apprentices under his grandfather and uncle for two years.

2002 – Alexander moves to Vancouver Island where he produces the bracelets on a large scale for his Grandfather’s shop in Cape Cod.

2004 – Alexander completes four months of training at the American Jewelers Institute, a jewellery trade school for the bench jeweler.

2009 – Alexander open’s Adore Jewellery, featuring a variety of handmade sterling silver and gold jewellery including the Carey bracelet.

2010 – The Carey bracelet is featured on the Bachelorette when contestant Chris gives the bracelet to bachelorette Ali.  In return for the stunning gift, Chris receives a rose at the end of the night.
