My journey in the people-helping field began in 1976. Born and raised in Victoria, I had a limited view of the world off this Island. So, I decided to move to Terrace B.C. to attend College to further my education in Industrial First Aid/Timekeeping. This opened doors to pioneer my inherent skills in this remote Northern Community.

Sports and Fitness is my lineage, upon pursuing certification and teaching from the YMCA, sponsored through Terrace Parks and Recreation, provided a niche for me.

In 1985 I returned to the Island residing in the Cowichan Valley, employing my pioneering skills. Still wanting to continue to be community involved, led me to Outlook Adventures Group Home, for disturbed teens. There I met and work with, pioneer, Arnold Porter, JSD Acupressure/ Body, Mind Counsellor. I received front line training in JSD Acupressure and designated Activity Coordinator.

In 1988 I was accepted at Shiatsu School of Canada, Toronto, Ontario, graduating in 1990, with a professional diploma.

Again I return to Victoria / Nanaimo to pursue my career in Clinical Zen Shiatsu Therapy. The Eastern Arts and philosophy has many facets to learn from. My choice has been 5element Japanese Hands on Healing Art and Philosophy. This became my way of life and has stimulated continuous dedication to my Healing Journey and all that I have and will work with and teach.

In closing, Consciousness is my Guide, the essence of heartfelt touch is the messenger. I extend my deepest gratitude to the Sisters of Queenswood Holistic and Spiritual Society, my Masters and Teachers who have lead me, to whom, I am.
